Interview: Phil Swash, Chief Executive, GKN Driveline

FY2015 ended on a high for GKN, as it announced positive results across many of its business units. Sales increased 2% year-on-year, and the company believes momentum will continue during FY2016.

“GKN continued to make progress in 2015 and delivered on our expectations,” Nigel Stein, Chief Executive of GKN, said during an earnings call. “We performed well against our key markets, overcoming some demand weakness and demonstrating once again the strength of our businesses, strong market positions and leading technology.”

The main highlight came from GKN Driveline, which boasted “market-beating growth.” Explaining this in further detail, Phil Swash, Chief Executive of GKN Driveline, also described the direction for the business unit during FY2016.
