Combined sales of passenger cars, SUVs and pick-ups in Canada fared well last year, with numbers totalling 1,851,373 units. Compared with the 1,744,567 light vehicles sold in the country in 2013, this translated into a year-on-year increase of 6.1%. This increase came despite a marginal drop in passenger car numbers, which was offset by a strong showing by the light trucks segment.
