GM and UAW offer up ‘transformative’ new deal for approval

Squeaking in just ahead of midnight deadline on Sunday, GM and the UAW have announced a tentative agreement

One down and halfway done with another and the UAW is progressing steadily with its Big Three contract renewals. Following the recent ratification of a four-year deal with FCA the union has now announced a tentative agreement covering its 52,600 members at General Motors. Squeaking in just ahead of midnight deadline, the deal was announced at 11:43 p.m. on Sunday, 25 October.
