General Motors warns Q3 downtime to hit earnings

With a solid Q2 under its belt, GM's CFO Chuck Stevens is reiterating caution for the Q3 outlook. By Megan Lampinen

General Motors has warned that widespread factory downtime in the US will make the third quarter (Q3) its weakest quarter of the year. For the second half (H2) as a whole, GM expects to build about 150,000 fewer vehicles for North America than it did last year.
