Isuzu’s contract deal with Hindustan Motors comes under the scanner

With Isuzu Motors India's manufacturing plant scheduled to commence operations in April 2016, the future of its contract manufacturing agreement with Hindustan Motors hangs in the balance

Two years ago, Isuzu Motors India, a subsidiary of Japanese vehicle manufacturer Isuzu, finalised a contract manufacturing agreement with Indian automotive manufacturer Hindustan Motors. The deal called for the latter to assemble Isuzu branded pick-ups and SUVs at its plant in Thiruvallur, near Chennai in Tamil Nadu.
