Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is embarking on an incredibly ambitious business strategy that will see it transform from a 4.4 million upa company to a 7 million upa one in just five years. Last year it recorded a 5.9% rise in global sales to 4.608 million units. Jonathan Storey, author of the Automotive World report FCA model plans and production outlook to 2019, believes the outlook for the company's production is positive, though he doesn't think it will manage to reach all of its 2018 targets. Speaking in a recent webinar on the subject, he examined the challenges that make forecasting for FCA an exercise in both analysis and faith.
