Brazil: imports and low truck demand dent Q3 production

Brazil's export and sales figures remain strong, but production momentum is hampered by low truck demand and Chinese car imports. By Will Girling

In a note published on 8 October, the Brazilian Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers (ANFAVEA) highlighted "concerning data" that indicated a potential reversal of the production growth achieved in 2025 so far. In total, 730,205 light and heavy vehicles were manufactured during Q3, a 0.8% decline from the previous year.
