Auto segment dominates brand value rankings

Automotive brands flex their muscle in the brand value charts, accounting for more of the top 100 companies than almost every other industry. By Megan Lampinen

Brand value in the automotive sector continues to grow, outpacing most other industries. New York-based consultancy Interbrand ranks global companies every year for its top 100 most valuable brand listing. For 2016, automotive brands account for 15 of the top 100. More important, perhaps, is the number of segment players among the 'top growing brands'.
