Growing use of ride-hailing and ride-sharing could shift the industry focus away from a driver-based economy to a passenger-based one. Interest is clearly strong - some estimates peg the emerging segment's worth at US$300bn by 2030. Notably, the users of these schemes are no longer driving the vehicles themselves – they are all passengers. The key is to figure out what the next generation of passenger experience looks like and provide what is needed.
