New car registrations in Italy fell 5.7% year-on-year from 155,231 units to 146,388 in September. This was, however, significantly higher month-on-month, compared with the traditionally slow month of August, when the industry accounted for registrations of 70,307 cars, figures released by Italy's Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) reveal.
