Chrysler Group has appointed chief executive Sergio Marchionne as chairman of the board of directors and announced two new appointments. Marchionne, who is also chief executive of Fiat, takes over the Chrysler role from C Robert Kidder. Kidder has served as chairman since Chrysler emerged from bankruptcy in 2009.
