The executive director of the National Association of Automotive Component and Allied Manufacturers (NAACAM) in South Africa, Roger Pitot, is reported to have stated that large-volume vehicle importers such as Hyundai and Kia should start to "make a real contribution to the economy by buying more locally produced parts."
