Societal change, cultural nuances and geography – just some of the challenges facing foreign OEMs seeking to enter the Indian market, says Nissan India MD

In September 2015, Arun Malhotra, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, opened the company’s 200th dealership in India, in the centre of Mumbai. At the time, Nissan’s dealership representation incorporated 124 cities across India, but the company has even bigger plans, with a commitment to opening 300 dealerships across the country by the end of FY 2016.
