Magna receives multiple Supplier Excellence Awards

As sales of Magna International Inc.’s vision-based Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) continue to increase, the company’s efforts are being recognized. Magna has recently received the General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award, Honda Good Supplier Award and Ford Q1 Preferred Quality Award.

Magna’s Holly, Michigan, facility, which produces ADAS components for global automakers, received the General Motors Supplier Excellence Award. For the second consecutive year, the company’s electronics facility in Japan was presented the Honda Good Supplier Award in the Cost Performance category for its rearview and front facing cameras. Additionally, Magna’s electronics facility in Monterrey, Mexico, received the Ford Q1 Preferred Quality Award.

“Autonomous vehicle technology is setting the pace of change in the industry and with our ADAS leadership position, our business continues to grow as a result. The global recognition we are receiving from multiple customers reflects our overall performance and demonstrates our commitment to quality excellence,” said Swamy Kotagiri, Magna Chief Technology Officer and President of Magna Electronics.

Magna has been innovating camera technologies since the 1990s. Many of the company’s innovations and patents from that time are now coming of age in the worldwide automotive market. Today, Magna supplies camera systems to more than 60 percent of major automakers around the world.
