Grabbing GHG credits – troubled times for OEMs

Michael Nash examines GHG emissions credits and meeting MY2025 standards in the US

The Department of Transportation’s (DOT’s) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will soon meet to discuss greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions standards for MY2022 to MY2025. Although the figures for these standards are still unknown, how will OEMs look to meet them?
