PPG’s Ingersheim research facility in Germany is conducting pioneering work on automotive coating and paint technology. It is one of three automotive development centres for Europe, with a focus on decorative coatings and plays a key role in supporting PPG’s stated aim of ‘protecting and beautifying the world.’ But doing that through paint and coatings alone sounds ambitious.
