WeRide signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Uber to launch a robotaxi pilot operation via the Uber app later in 2025. The Chinese autonomous driving technology firm will deploy robotaxis with safety drivers initially, before transitioning to fully driverless commercial services in 2026.
