Chinese robotaxi developer Pony.ai announced on 22 July 2025 that its SAE Level 4 autonomous driving (AD) domain controller has travelled more than two million on-road test kilometres. The seventh generation (Gen7), production-ready system was first unveiled in April at the Shanghai Auto Show.
