Daimler recovery in EU fails to offset US sales drop

Daimler’s deliveries in Q2 drop to 106,715 units, driven by a 20% plunge in North American sales. By Stewart Burnett

Daimler Truck reported a 5% decline in second-quarter sales to 106,715 units, as a sharp drop in North American demand overshadowed a 14.5% quarter-on-quarter recovery in its European operations. The OEM’s Trucks North America segment saw sales plummet 20% to just 38,580 units.
