Three new employee representatives will take office on the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft effective January 1, 2013.

Stephan Wolf, Deputy Chairman of the General Works Council of Volkswagen AG, and Jürgen Dorn, Chairman of the Group Works Council of MAN SE, have been appointed as new members of the Supervisory Board by Braunschweig Local Court. They succeed Jürgen Stumpf, Chairman of the Works Council at the Volkswagen AG Kassel plant, and Bernd Wehlauer, Deputy Chairman of the General and Group Works Councils of Volkswagen AG, who are both leaving the company having reached retirement age and are therefore resigning from their posts on the Supervisory Board with effect from the end of 2012.

In addition, Dr. Hans-Peter Fischer has been appointed to the Supervisory Board as management representative. He also takes over as Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Management Association (VMA), the organization representing the interests of Volkswagen Group management. Dr. Fischer succeeds the outgoing VMA Chairman Wolfgang Ritmeier, who is also resigning from office on the Supervisory Board having reached retirement age.
