Tata Power Delhi Distribution has been awarded with the national award under the category ‘discom – promotion/facilitation’ for roof-top solar programmes. The award was presented by Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, to Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD, Tata Power-DDL, during the National Workshop on Roof-top Solar Power at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The workshop was organised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. The programme was attended by PK Sinha, cabinet secretary, Government of India; PK Mishra, additional principal secretary to the Prime Minister of India; and Upendra Tripathy, secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India.
“The supply reliability, quality of power and services offered by Tata Power-DDL are one of the best not only in the country but by international standards too. The cumulative roof-top capacity supported and commissioned by us shows our commitment to produce green and clean energy and differentiates us from other power distribution companies. Today’s prestigious national award adds another feather to our cap and motivates us to continue the good work even in the future,” said Mr Sinha, after receiving the award.
The award ceremony was also attended by Sudarshan Kumar Saini, chief, commercial and CSR, and Kaushik Sanyal, HoD, business services group, Tata Power-DDL.
