The Qt Company & sponsors are bringing Qt Japan Summit in Akihabara on May26
The Qt Company has announced that Qt Japan Summit 2015 will take place on May 26 in Tokyo. The full-day events will feature keynote addresses from The Qt Company & reference cases plus two tracks of technical & business presentations. The technical sessions will focus on how the Qt cross-platform application & user interface (UI) development framework can be used to enhance user & developer experience and accelerate time to market & return on investment for businesses.
Qt’s popularity has been gaining in the Japan market in the past year with a large following coming from mobile, desktop & embedded application developers from industries including automotive, consumer electronics, robotics & automation. With the Qt 5.3 launch on the day of the previous year’s Qt conference, the Internet of Things & device creation message clearly set the path for hundreds of thousands of cross-platform & mobile developers to standardize their development strategy on Qt.
“The Japan market is key for the overall growth & adoption of the Qt technology globally. Last year’s successful Qt Developer Day Tokyo with over 300 attendees verified that the market is hungry to create more with Qt. We continue to see tremendous commercial demand from Japan automotive, automation, consumer electronics & robotics space where Qt is used by leading companies in these industries. Our goal is to let the Qt ecosystem in Japan take off & soar via the Qt Japan Summit 2015 event.” says Juhapekka Niemi, Vice President, The Qt Company.
Qt empowers developers to provide phenomenal user experiences & high performance with compelling applications with rich graphics & velvet-like animations and then deploy them across multiple platforms with ease. Anyone targeting desktop, embedded or mobile platforms – or, most likely, a combination of these will recognize the benefits of being able to develop quickly & then deploy to other platforms by simply recompiling. This allows businesses to meet the twin aims of reducing time to market & maximizing return on investment.
Qt Japan Summit 2015 will include Keynotes from Lars Knoll, The Qt Company CTO & Qt Project Chief Maintainer focusing on the roadmap & strategy insight with Qt. The two parallel tracks of sessions will cover highlights of Qt 5.4 & 5.5 features, multiscreen strategy, advanced visualization, Qt Quick, kick-start embedded development with Qt, plus introductions to Qt & the best practices from real-world use cases.
