Under the motto “Feel free”, Webasto presents its solutions for electromobility at this year’s Power2Drive in Munich from 15 to 17 May. In Hall C3, Stand 110, the systems partner of almost all automobile manufacturers will present a comprehensive portfolio of charging solutions as well as battery and heating systems for electric and hybrid vehicles.

High quality charging solutions for private and commercial customers

The smart charger Webasto Live allows flexible and future-oriented networking via mobile network or Bluetooth and, thus is controllable via Webasto LiveApp. Network interfaces, such as LAN and WLAN, allow the connection of several chargers, thereby enabling dynamic load management. Further essential functions of the Webasto Live is the authentication via RFID or smartphone. On the other hand, that it is one of the few wall-mounted chargers on the market that supports forward-looking authentication via Plug & Charge (ISO 15118). Unique selling point of the Webasto Live is that, in addition to authentication via RFID or smartphone, it already supports the activation of charging processes via Plug & Charge as well as dynamic load management. The basic charger Webasto Pure is compatible with all electric cars with type 2 plugs, regardless of the vehicle manufacturer. It is available with a charging capacity of 11 or 22 kW and is easy and practical to operate thanks to the attached cable. Webasto will also be showing the TurboDX with optional connectivity, especially developed for the American market, as well as the portable charger TurboCord for convenient charging on the go.

Highly efficient battery and heating solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles

The special advantage of the Webasto standard battery system is its modular design. Thanks to standardized battery modules, the system is individually configurable, extremely cost-efficient and suitable for various vehicle segments. The additionally developed “Vehicle Interface Box” (VIB) serves as an interface between battery system and vehicle and enables both system configuration and programming. Webasto also offers a high-performance heating system for hybrid and electric vehicles in the form of the High-Voltage Heater (HVH). The HVH creates pleasant temperatures in the interior and simultaneously is able to take care of the necessary conditioning of the battery, thereby ensuring that its capacity is fully realized. Thanks to the efficient heating layer technology, the heater converts electrical energy at an efficiency rate of constantly above 95%. The high-voltage heater models from Webasto have been designed for on-board power supply voltages of between 250 V and 870 V and are available with heat outputs of 5, 7 and 10 kW.
