1. Contents of Non-operating expenses (Foreign Exchange Loss)
Mazda posted the foreign exchange loss of ¥27,157 million as a non-operating expenses in the consolidated statement of operations
for the first three months of the Fiscal Year ending March 31, 2014 (April 1, 2013 through June 30, 2013) due to the fluctuation of
foreign exchange rate.

Regarding the effects of non-operating expenses (foreign exchange losses) stated above on Mazda’s financial performance, please
refer to “Consolidated Financial Results For the First Quarter of the Fiscal Year Ending March 31, 2014” that has been released
today.
