On Aug 9th JAC made a public announcement that it would increase capital in JAC Brazil Auto Co., Ltd.to make it as JAC joint venture in Brazil producing and selling automobile, while before it was JAC Brazil partner’s wholly-owned subsidiary. This capital increase is another steady step during JAC internationalism.
 
Once Chinese self-owned automobile brands took overseas markets as their new development points, however, under the influence of low international automobile market demands, Chinese self-owned brands met with setbacks. According to August figures from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China has exported all kinds of automobiles 567,500 units from January to July this year, down by 2.2% year on year. However, some self-owned automobile brands stood out with brilliant achievements, one of which was JAC.

From January to July, JAC has exported all kinds of vehicles 38231 units with 11.5% increase compared with last year, among which the export of light trucks has increased by 7%, passenger vehicles was up by 11.5%, medium and heavy trucks was up by 34.9% , and other emerging segments such as pick-up has increased by 68.3%. Under the environment of the automobile industry overall decline, JAC international business has shown a comprehensive flowering.

Talking about the reason why JAC has demonstrated excellent performance in overseas market, Mr.SheCairong, JAC Vice General Manager as well as General Manager of JAC International concluded ‘Quality creates brand and innovation achieves development’.

Founded in 1964, JAC has witnessed Chinese automobile industry development; moreover, it is one of Chinese automobile self-owned brand pioneers entering the world.Early in May, 1995, JAC started its first internationalism step by exporting 36 trucks to Bolivia.

By now, JAC has exported its products to more than 100 countries and regions of Asia, Africa, South Africa and Europe. Besides, it has owned 14 KD assembly plants with output of JAC products, technology and management in the countries including Russia, Vietnam, Iran, Egypt, Turkey, Mexico and so on, which means the preliminary complete of its International products layout covering the regions of East Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa and America.

What is more, JAC has made great breakthrough in the joint venturecooperation these years. JAC Vietnam Joint Venture is one of JAC joint ventures combined with JAC products, technology, management, capital and culture, and it has realized great achievements since its products rolled off the line in April, 2010.

During the past half countries’ development, JAC has experienced ‘change’ and ‘changeless’. Automobile technology innovation and development interpretsthe word of change, and the culture rooted in quality interprets the word of changeless. Mr.An Jin, JAC Chairman expressed thatchange and changeless are the most important reasons why many international distributors have chosen JAC as their partner.

It is learnt that JAC exported products have been further optimized. The exported products have been enlarged from light trucks to passenger vehicles, light trucks and heavy trucks, and main products have displayed great competitiveness edge.

Among which, JAC light trucks are ahead of other Chinese light truck brands in the exported volume, products quality and FOB, moreover, the exports of high-end light trucks have occupied 80% of JAC light trucks.

“JAC always sticks to the philosophy of ‘Value Oriented,Quality Creates Brand and Brand is Prior to Scale ’,which has changed Chinese automobile products’ image of low quality, low price and low interest. ”Mr.SheCairong said.

JAC has clear three step international strategies, first of all, geography strategy, that is to enter Western Europe markets from Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa markets, as well as to enter North America markets from South America and Middle and East America markets, moreover, finally to enter the global market; The second step is business method strategy, that is from the pure automobile exports to KD plant and then joint venture; The last step is from the output of products to technology, management and capital, and finally the output of JAC automobile culture.
