We are continuously monitoring the latest developments around COVID-19 and implementing actions in accordance with government agency guidelines to protect the health and safety of our employees and associates. This includes “work from home” policies for many offices and sites where possible, as well as increased cleaning, distancing, use of protective equipment, health checks and monitoring. These processes were tested and executed with great results in our China locations during the extended Chinese New Year break and are still in place in line with government directives.
In relation to OEM announcements to either halt or slow production, we are in direct contact with our customers and suppliers in all regions in which we operate and working closely with them to adjust our production schedule accordingly, which includes temporarily winding down our North American and European operations in line with government guidance and customer requirements. We will continue with the critical engineering launch activities and R&D work around the globe by employing alternative work arrangements. While this is a very fluid situation, we are staying informed and aligned with government agency guidance at the local, national and international levels.
