Abdul Majeed, PwC Partner and National Automotive leader based in Chennai, has been confirmed as a speaker at Automotive Megatrends India 2015. Majeed has more than 17 years of professional experience. Prior to joining the Indian firm, he was part of PwC-Middle East firms for six years and has worked in assurance as well as the advisory line of services and he was part of many large multinational and complex engagements.
He has served clients in different industries, ranging from manufacturing to the service sector. His area of work has been primarily related to the automotive and automotive component segments both in India and overseas. He works very closely with the PwC’s US automotive practice group. Majeed shares his knowledge on the Indian Automotive industry to assist PwC global teams to carry out the automotive related engagements. In addition, he participates in the key automotive events as a panellist and also contributes articles in the leading magazines and newspapers in India on the automotive industry.
Majeed will speak in the Market Outlook track for passenger cars, which will examine the prospects for India’s passenger car market and how the experience of acquiring a car will change over the next 10 years and beyond. Topics covered will include sales forecasts, online sales and marketing, socio-economic change, ownership models and dealership evolution.
