Orange is an official partner of the Paris Motor Show for the 7th time, and a technical partner for the 2nd. At the forefront of developments in connected vehicles, Orange is an operator with over 10 years’ experience in the automotive sector alongside expert partners and market leaders. At the 2014 Motor Show, Orange will introduce several innovations and show that the future of vehicles is connected.

Orange has renewed its partnership with the Espera Sbarro Montbéliard design school and will be unveiling a new concept car at its stand: the “Grand Prix”.

Connected cars are here today with Orange

This vehicle is fitted with a range of multimedia equipment:

  • 2 tablets: one for navigation, the other for entertainment, whilst stationary;
  • a Nokia Lumia 1320 handset to remain connected on the go;
  • a Supertooth Bluetooth hands free kit;
  • a Q-Bopz Bluetooth speaker.

Orange also presents the new Peugeot 108, with MirrorLinkTM technology. Thanks to its Mirror Screen Function, users can mirror their smartphone’s display on a larger touch screen. They can retrieve and play their mobile device’s media content directly and easily from this screen.

  • Orange Maps, a GPS navigation app on the road and on foot
  • All You Can Play, a mobile games package for passengers
  • Orange Radio, 20,000 radio stations available on the move

The application “Orange Radio” is integrated into the multimedia environment available with R&GO via a Smartphone (iOS or Android) inside Renault’s new Twingo, unveiled at the Paris Motor Show 2014.

The cars of tomorrow – always more connected 

Orange is providing an opportunity to discover a vision for the connected car of tomorrow with two innovative products from Faurecia, a market leader in automotive equipment:

  • the “Performance 2.0” interior for a driving experience like no other, with two detachable screens, Ligneos wooden surfaces, unique design and networked equipment for passenger use.
  • Wireless charging makes it easy for drivers or passengers to charge their phone or tablet(1).

Innovative technologies to support businesses

This year, Orange Business Services, an entity exclusively devoted to business solutions, is reiterating its commitment to the development of innovative services for businesses such as:

  • accepting payments on the move using a smartphone with “Payment Pro”
  • optimizing automotive fleet management with the “Fleet Performance” box in partnership with PSA—Peugeot Citroën
  • viewing available parking spaces and receiving route guidance to find them with the Streetline ParkerTM application
  • the development of M2M in-vehicle connectivity services
