VW lowers sales outlook on China concerns

China concerns dominated the Volkswagen Group earnings call for Q2 and H1 as the market's slowdown casts a shadow over an otherwise promising picture. "Our sales performance in the first half of 2015 has continued to be characterised on the one hand by an improvement in Western Europe and on the other hand the situation in Russia, South America and China has become increasingly difficult," Chief Financial Officer Hans Dieter Pötsch told analysts.
