The US Department of Transportation (DOT), the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the California Air Resource Board (CARB) have released a long awaited draft Technical Assessment Report (TAR) that marks the start of a review process for MY2022-2025 light-duty vehicle fuel economy and greenhouse gas (GHG) targets. The document reveals that the authorities expect the average fuel economy of new light-duty vehicles in the US to reach 50.8mpg in MY2025.
