The timing of Toyota's recent 6.5 million-unit vehicle recall is fortuitous on many counts, though the volumes involved will still make themselves felt. The OEM is recalling about 600,000 vehicles in Japan, 2.7 million in North America, 1.2 million in Europe and 2 million in other regions for a problem with the driver's side Power Winder Master Switch (PWMS).
