The idea of the electric truck is enticing. Substituting fuel for electrification could save fleet operators thousands of dollars every year while simultaneously slashing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Technology limitations have so far prevented the electric truck from series production, but a growing number of OEMs are starting to publicise their ideas for the future. This suggests that the technology is moving forward, and moving fast.
