Lux Research predicts a fall in battery costs thanks to a coagulation of factors

The high cost of electric vehicle (EV) batteries is commonly attributed to the low or flagging sales volumes of the vehicles themselves. Typically, EVs are around US$12,000 more expensive than their diesel and gasoline counterparts. However, vehicle prices continue to fall thanks to a handful of factors that are ultimately helping to drive down the cost of batteries.
