Recent research findings show that trucks could experience fuel savings of 5% to 10% if they were controlled by platooning technology

Driver assistive truck platooning (DATP) makes use of available vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications and semi-autonomous technologies to allow trucks to platoon in tight formation at highway speeds. This platooning ability has many benefits, including reducing drag and increasing mpg.
