PIVE extended: what happened to last gasp for Spain’s scrappage?

Spain is extending its PIVE (Programa de Incentivos al Vehículo Eficiente) scrappage incentive into next year, and instead of expiring in December 2015 it will now run through 31 July 2016. The news was announced by the country's General Secretariat of industry and small and medium-sized enterprises, Begoña Cristeto, at the opening session of the European electric vehicle conference CEVE 2015. According to local media reports, there is still funding left in the programme.
