NHTSA seeks ‘proactive safety approach’ to cyber security threats

The line between active and passive safety measures is becoming increasingly blurred. OEMs and suppliers alike are introducing a variety of safety measures in new vehicles that bridge the gap between the two fields. At the same time, authorities that have previously been focused on regulating crash tests and active safety features are now delving into cyber security.
