New reference architecture ‘completes the picture’, says GENIVI’s Lead Architect

Gunnar Andersson is the GENIVI Alliance’s Lead Architect. What makes that particularly interesting is that it is a full time position, yet Andersson is employed full time as a Software Strategist by Volvo Cars in the OEM’s Infotainment Department. The mutual decision by Volvo and GENIVI for Andersson to seek the role within GENIVI underlines Volvo's commitment to the GENIVI Alliance.

“Yes. It's a nice commitment for them to support this and give me a salary for doing this full-time,” Andersson tells Automotive World.
