GM is taking used batteries from the Chevrolet Volt electric vehicle (EV) to power the Enterprise Data Centre at its Milford Proving Ground facility in Michigan. The OEM believes it is time to make the most of the energy left in batteries from first-generation models as it closes in on the second-generation Volt for 2016.
