Commercial vehicle (CV) fleets across the world have adopted various innovative technologies in order to improve efficiency and reduce emissions. However, some companies have dismissed hybrid electric systems on the grounds that batteries are too heavy and their costs are too high. A small company in Loveland, Colorado, is looking to overcome these boundaries by hybridising powertrains without the use of traditionally expensive and heavy components such as batteries and electric motors.
