Ford contract could crank EDI’s market exposure

Ford has entered a patent agreement with hybrid and electric powertrain supplier EDI

Efficient Drivetrains, Inc (EDI), a global leader and supplier of advanced high-efficiency zero emissions hybrid and electric powertrain solutions, recently announced it had entered a license agreement with Ford for hybrid vehicle patents. Details of the relationship between the two companies remain under wraps, but it has been made public that the license includes numerous patents owned by University of California (UC) that originate from the work of Andrew Frank, Co-Founder of EDI.
