Driven by demand for the Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X, FCA expands workforce

On the back of year-on-year sales growth in 2014, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced its decision to expand the workforce at its Melfi plant by more than 1,000 people

Last year, new passenger car registrations in Italy rose year-on-year by 4.2% to 1,359,616 units. This compared with registrations of 1,304,648 cars recorded in 2013. Out of this total, local brands accounted for 378,591 units last year, translating into a 1% increase compared with the 374,920 units sold a year earlier.
