Diesel ‘situation’ pushes VW to biggest loss in history

If it weren't for 'the diesel situation', Volkswagen would have had a stellar year, according to Matthias Mueller. As it is, however, the Group has had to double the amount of money set aside to cover fallout costs and confirmed that these expenses resulted in the biggest net loss in its history. Delayed financial results came out on 22 April, along with confirmation of an initial resolution to the defeat device scandal in the US.
