A global approach to further improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from commercial vehicles has been approved in a meeting in Chicago by the world’s leading manufacturers of heavy-duty commercial trucks and engines in Europe, Japan and the US.

At the meeting, the chief executives of the assembled companies agreed to continue their joint efforts to work with government bodies to promote harmonised global standards.
