COMMENT: Truck performance vs economy debate revived

At the 2015 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville, Kentucky, engine maker Cummins announced a number of refinements to its popular ISX15 heavy-duty diesel. Among the changes, said the company’s Vice President of engineering, Jim Fier, would be a new choice between what he called two packages, ‘one for fleets particularly interested in mileage (i.e. fuel efficiency) and another for truck operators with high-performance needs’.
