In 1908, Henry Ford created the last genuine revolution in the automotive industry by building cars using assembly line manufacturing techniques. Since then, gradual improvements in safety, efficiency and performance have been made, and with consumers having more disposable income and wanting to enjoy freedom of movement, car ownership rocketed.
