COMMENT: Four cyber threats to connected, autonomous fleets

These specific high-level threats could be used by hackers to exploit and control connected fleet vehicles, writes Moshe Shlisel

The 100 million lines of code powering today’s cars represent only a fraction of what tomorrow’s semi-autonomous vehicles will require. Indeed, connected cars will soon run on 200-300 million lines of code. Greater connectivity will deliver a wide array of benefits, like powering infotainment systems, data sharing, and safety features. But it also means new cyber security threats—including to safety-critical systems.
