COMMENT: The curious incident of the OEMs at MATS

Big changes may be underway for the trucking industry's show circuit. The spotlight last week fell on the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville, Kentucky. Taking place this year from 31 March to 2 April, it bills itself as the largest annual heavy-duty trucking industry event in the world. That's big talk, especially for an event that didn't attract any vehicle manufacturers this year. Of the estimated 1,000+ exhibitors from both the US and abroad, none of the top manufacturers sent over executives from HQ.
