COMMENT: Brazil must resolve safety/traffic issues before market expansion

Brazil is known for its activist government, particularly when it comes to the country’s economic health: it has an impressive track record in reversing its economic misfortune and runaway inflation. But Brazilian consumers now must take the good with the bad, meaning taxes are high, as are the prices of cars - even in the absence of competitive safety systems and quality construction.
