BMW i3 – improvements in build & production process

While the BMW i3 is seen as a benchmark for carbon fibre intensive cars, developed and built with advanced technologies, there may still be room for improvements

When BMW's i3 electric car went on sale in Germany and select European markets on 16 November 2013, it became the first high volume car to feature significant amounts of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP). The following year, BMW launched this model in the US, China and South Korea.
