Augmented reality could convince drivers to go autonomous

Given the expected inevitability of Level 3, 4 and 5 autonomous vehicles making their way onto public roads in the near future, companies have begun to prepare for the transition. But while the technology that will drive the future is already being tested publicly, questions remain on how to convince the sceptics to buy into the revolution. Here, combining technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality heads-up displays (VR-HUDs) is just one example of how the industry could aid the transition to autonomous vehicles.
